The Miami ModelFTAA Conference in MiamiHere is a documentary about the FTAA Conference in Miami, FL during November 2003. This documentary demonstrates the $8.5 million of the $87 billion allocated by Congress to fight the War on Terror domestically. The various police agencies of Florida united into one large Multi Jurisdictional Anti Terror Task force, their numbers several thousand strong. They were using the latest in high tech "less than lethal" crowd control technology. This event is where the Taser was field tested for widespread deployment among Florida's law enforcement agencies.
In November, 2003, trade ministers from 34 countries met in Miami, Florida, to negotiate the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA). The FTAA threatens to devastate workers, the environment, and public services like health care, education, and water, and to destroy indigenous
rights and cultural diversity across North, Central, and South America.
